June 2015 Happenings

30 Jun 2015, Posted by Founding Franklin in What's Happening

The past month or two have been busy times, as we usher in the spring and summer season in the historic district of Philadelphia, and all around. Dr. Franklin once again visited Elfreth’s Alley for their annual Spring Fete, a major fund-raiser for the Association. It was, as always, a delightful day of meeting with old friends and new acquaintances. We have begun the new season of Independence After Hours, the popular tour from Historic Philadelphia, Inc., launching season eleven, along with the ever-popular Kites and Flights Tipplers Tour. Flag Day celebrations abound, including a very special one at Independence Hall, celebrating the 240th birthday of the United States Army.
